Help us unlock a $50,000 Challenge Grant!

We've received a very generous $50,000 Challenge Grant from the Cloudsplitter Foundation and we need your help to meet the challenge!

This opportunity has given us renewed energy and an opportunity to amplify the work that we are so lucky to do for Adirondack communities.

So what is the challenge? The Cloudsplitter Foundation has challenged us to earn 400 active members by July 1, 2019, to unlock a $50,000 grant.

Our individual membership costs only $75/year, meaning that if we raise only $7425 more through membership contributions, we receive $50,000! That's  a 6 to 1 match, which is unbelievably generous! We cannot let this opportunity pass us by.

Here's how you can help:

If your membership has lapsed, you can renew today to help us earn a $50,000 grant!
If your membership is current, you can switch your membership to an automatically-renewing membership  to be sure that you are counted as an active member on July 1st, 2019 when we take the final tally to see if we have met the challenge.
If you have a friend or neighbor who you think will be supportive of our work, reach out to them and ask them to join at the $75/year level.
If you have never been a member but you have been following our work, please join today, we need your help to unlock the Challenge Grant!

As you all know, AdkAction creates projects that address unmet needs, promote vibrant communities, and preserve the character of the Adirondacks. Reducing salt pollution on state roads - which has been unequivocally shown to cause regional surface and groundwater contamination - remains our keystone project. Many of our other projects are growing and being met with regional support.

We are promoting artists and community revitalization efforts in both Saranac Lake and Keeseville though supporting Plein Air Festivals.  Our "Farmacy" project is receiving kudos from the Adirondack Health Institute and Hudson Headwaters for its innovative approach at connecting low-income residents with high-quality local food. The Adirondack Pollinator Project has an expansive reach, connecting with over 8,000 people since 2017 through lectures, films, and workshops. We have given out almost 20,000 seed packets and our native pollinator plant sale resulted in over 60 new pollinator gardens in the Adirondacks.  Finally, Dave Wolff's work with local governments and broadband providers to ensure the submission of robust grant applications for all 3 phases of the New NY Broadband Program has resulted in several grants to providers. These grants will connect tens of thousands of households to high-speed broadband in the North Country Regional Economic Development coverage area.

Your investment in AdkAction will serve the communities in our region well.  We use our time and resources carefully and focus on creating the greatest impact possible with our projects. Please help us unlock the $50,000 Challenge Grant, we cannot do this without your help.
